Janina practices in the areas of labour law, human rights, pay equity and professional regulation and discipline.

Janina joined the firm as a summer student in 2004. After articling with the firm and being called to the Bar, she worked for six months at the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva, Switzerland with the Special Rapporteur on Violence against Women and the Working Group on Enforced Disappearances. She rejoined the firm as an associate in 2007.

Janina is committed to developing and protecting rights in the changing workplace, and to achieving greater access to justice in all forums. As a law student, she represented the McGill Law Women's Caucus at the 47th and 48th sessions of the UN Commission on the Status of Women. She has also previously worked with Human Rights Watch (New York), Rights & Democracy (Montreal), the Pay Equity Commission of Ontario and Legal Aid Ontario.

Janina is currently a member of the Ontario Bar Association and Canadian Bar Association. She is also on the steering committee of the Toronto Network of Human Rights Watch.
