Genevieve joined Cavalluzzo as an Associate in 2015, after summering with a Canadian national firm in London, England, and articling with a full service firm in Peterborough, Ontario. During her articles, Genevieve gained significant trial experience and assisted in an election-spending case of national significance, namely: Del Mastro v. Elections Canada.
Throughout law school Genevieve was a student advisor at the Golden Lane Legal Clinic and an active member of the Canadian-American Law Society, where she acted as Peer Mentor Coordinator.
Prior to law school, Genevieve demonstrated her commitment to human rights by interning at an international non-profit organization in Cape Town, South Africa. At the International Centre for Transitional Justice, Genevieve assisted a leading practitioner in his publication entitled Truth Seeking: Elements of Creating an Effective Truth Commission, published in 2013.
Genevieve is a mentor with the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law’s Internationally Trained Lawyers Program and is a member of the Women’s Law Association of Ontario, sitting on the committee for the Young Women Lawyer Chapter.
