On June 12, 2007, the World Bank convened in Washington a Learning Dialogue on the Legal Dimensions of Women’s Economic Empowerment. Bringing together Bank officials, development practitioners, and representatives from the ILO, the United National Population Fund, the Inter-American Commission on Human rights, the Dialogue explored the issue in the context of four markets - land, labor , product and financial.
