Cavalluzzo was proud to participate in Workers Bowl 2018 - The Power of Working People, held on November 3, 2018. This event, sponsored by the Ontario Employment Education and Resource Centre ("OEERC") in partnership with the Workers Action Centre ("WAC"), comes at a critical juncture as the Ontario government moves to take away new worker protections, particularly the Bill 148 equal pay provisions, which are critical to many of our clients and existed in large part due to WAC's efforts.

This fundraiser supports community and leadership programs that better equip workers to challenge bad workplace practices. Hundreds of workers with urgent problems call the Workers' Rights Information Phone Line every day, where staff walk workers through serious problems at work, both over the phone and face-to-face. The services they provide in the movement are essential, helping workers to transition from their own individual problems to more collective action.
