Cavalluzzo LLP wears orange today to reaffirm our commitment to reconciliation and to honour Indigenous survivors of residential schools, and the resiliency of Indigenous children and families to endure and build back from the horrific legacy of residential schools in Canada.

Residential schools led to grave cultural dislocation and deep personal suffering for many Indigenous peoples. Families and communities were torn apart and the inter-generational impacts continue to this day. We must grapple with this history, celebrate the resiliency of Indigenous children, families, and communities, and commit to acting in a way that advances reconciliation.

The full implementation of the Calls to Action of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission are long overdue. We urge Canada to fully implement the Calls to Action.
