Chetan Muram is an associate lawyer at Cavalluzzo LLP. His practice focuses on advancing workers’ rights and holding employers accountable.
In his labour practice, Chetan works closely with unions to pursue their goals, through grievance arbitrations and broader advocacy work. In his employment practice, Chetan acts for non-unionized workers in wrongful dismissals, human rights litigation, occupational health and safety reprisals, and workers’ compensation appeals. Chetan is patient and attentive with clients, ensuring they are actively involved and properly informed at every step. Drawing upon his experience, Chetan has delivered guest lectures and spoken at conferences, addressing topics such as occupational health and safety standards, workers’ compensation, and discrimination in the workplace.
Prior to joining Cavalluzzo LLP in 2025, Chetan practiced at other labour and employment firms in Toronto and spent many years at a legal clinic, focused on workers’ rights and public interest litigation. He remains a committed supporter of the legal clinic system, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Workers’ Health and Safety Legal Clinic.
When not at his desk, you can usually find Chetan zipping around Toronto on his bike, munching on popcorn at the movies, or sampling eateries in every corner of the city.
