Our hearts are heavy today as we grieve for the Afzaal family and for the Muslim community in London, Ontario.
On Sunday June 6, Salman Afzaal, Madiha Salman, their daughter Yumna Afzaal, and Salman’s 74-year-old mother were murdered because of their religion. This was an act of hatred and an act of terrorism. The family’s 9-year-old son, Fayez, remains in hospital.
We stand with all those affected by this targeted killing, in particular the Muslim community. The firm condemns Islamophobia, white supremacy, and all forms of discrimination.
