The Supreme Court of Canada released its decision in R. v. Kloubakov, a constitutional challenge concerning Canada’s sex work laws. Amnesty International Canada advocated for a legal framework that respects sex workers’ rights to safety, health, and freedom from discrimination to make them in line with international human rights obligations.

Cavalluzzo LLP lawyers Danielle Bisnar and Clémence Thabet represented Amnesty International Canada on a pro bono basis, providing vital legal support for the organization’s challenge submission. The challenge is currently before the Ontario Court of Appeal.
