In today's Legal Matters, Stephen Moreau discusses the law of constructive dismissal, which "is easy to state but hard to apply and understand in real-life situations.” He says that "the basic legal principle is that a constructive dismissal occurs when an employer ‘substantially’ alters the employment contract.", and digs into the recent decision of Quesnelle v.
