Tassia Poynter was quoted in the January 28, 2019 edition of Law Times regarding a recently proposed class action lawsuit alleging that television production company Cineflix has been misclassifying non-managerial production staff on several of its reality TV shows as independent contractors since 2000.  Ms. Poynter, who is working on the class action alongside Stephen Moreau, says that she believes this is the first class action lawsuit alleging employee misclassification in the television industry.  A copy of the Law Times Article can be found here.
